Overview

The nVent F88WE90 is a 90-degree feed-through wireway elbow designed for continuous wire and cable management systems in industrial environments. This 8.00 x 8.00 inch (203 x 203 mm) elbow is constructed from durable mild steel with a gray finish, providing robust protection against dust and environmental contaminants. Its feed-through design enables seamless connection to adjacent wireway sections and fittings, simplifying installation and maintenance in manufacturing plants, processing facilities, and automation setups. Key specifications include a 11.00 inch (279 mm) height (G) and 7.00 inch (178 mm) width (K), with all dimensions measured to outside surfaces. The elbow allows any side to be removed while retaining the lay-in feature, and sides are secured with screws for stability. Certified by the Canadian Standards Association, this product meets NEMA standard tolerances for reliable performance. The US-made construction ensures adherence to stringent quality manufacturing standards. Ideal for directional changes in wireway runs, the F88WE90 supports high-volume cable routing with ample internal space. Its compatibility with standard wireway systems makes it a versatile choice for expanding or modifying existing installations.

How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and secure connections.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Gaskets, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure with screws and nuts, ensuring all components are tightly fastened.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for box entries as shown in the details. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and secure the wireway section to the outside.

  7. Verify grounding continuity

If the wireway is to be used for grounding, ensure that grounding continuity is maintained across all fittings and connections.
