How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Sealant plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them with screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting and install it with a shoulder bolt, ensuring gaskets are visible on both sides. Rotate the cam to lock the position.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure for the wireway entry. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, then install a 90° angle sealing plate to secure the connection.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting. Insert the fitting into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate the installation

After securing all components, verify that all joints are sealed properly and that the wireway is level and securely mounted.
