How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway system, ensuring proper assembly and functionality.

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Sealing plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

    Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

    For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting, leaving out the top flange screw on the hinge side. Install with a shoulder bolt and ensure gaskets are visible from above.

  3. Install box entries

    Make a cutout in the enclosure for the box connector. Position the connector and gasket inside the enclosure, then install a 90° angle sealing plate as described.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

    Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body. Insert the body into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

    Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate and finalize installation

    Ensure all joints are sealed and tightened. Verify that the wireway is level and securely mounted before proceeding with electrical connections.
