Overview

The nVent F66WFF (SKU: F66WFF) is a 6.00 x 6.00 inch flexible fitting designed for wireway feed-through applications. Constructed with a durable Hypalon rubber bellow and steel flanges, it effectively isolates wireway runs from shock and vibration, while also compensating for misalignment. This fitting is suitable for applications requiring movement between connected components, such as in machine tool connectivity, control panel isolation, and mobile equipment. The Hypalon rubber material provides resistance to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, and UV exposure, ensuring longevity in demanding industrial settings. The textured surface aids in installation and operation. The F66WFF accommodates odd angles up to 90 degrees, simplifying installation and system design. Manufactured by nVent in the US.
  • Feed-Through Flexible Fittings are used for isolating a wireway run from shock and vibration or compensating for misalignment
  • Used where an odd angle is required (but not to exceed 90 degrees)
  • Permits movement of a machine or control station connected to a wireway run
  • Hypalon bellow with steel flanges
  • Connects to other wireway sections and fittings and protects wires and cables against dust in a broad range of industrial applications

How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers, Threaded rods

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through each side of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install the swivel nipple

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Secure them with screws and nuts, ensuring a tight fit.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for box entries as shown in the details. Install the box connector and gaskets as required.

  7. Verify grounding continuity

If the wireway is to be used for grounding, ensure that provisions are made for grounding continuity across all fittings.
