Overview

The nVent F66WASS Telescope Fitting Feed-Through is a 6.00 x 6.00 inch stainless steel feed-through fitting designed for Type 4X wireway systems. Constructed from brushed 304 stainless steel, it provides corrosion-resistant performance in harsh environments, including washdown areas, chemical exposure, and outdoor installations. The telescope design allows tool-free adjustment of wireway lengths from 1.50 inches to 13.50 inches (38 mm to 343 mm) without cutting, welding, or additional fabrication. This eliminates the need for custom-cut fittings, reducing installation time and material waste. The fitting maintains a smooth, continuous pathway for wires and cables, minimizing snag risks during maintenance. Certified by the Canadian Standards Association, it meets NEMA Type 4X requirements for indoor and outdoor use. Typical applications include food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, wastewater treatment, outdoor industrial sites, and manufacturing plants requiring frequent reconfiguration. Compatible with standard 6.00 x 6.00 inch wireway systems, the F66WASS ensures reliable cable management with minimal maintenance.
  • Feed-Through Stainless Steel Telescope Fittings are for adjusting wireway length without cutting or welding
  • Length is easily adjustable from 1.50 in. to 13.50 in. (343 mm)
  • Connects to other wireway sections and fittings and protects wires and cables in frequently hosed down, very wet or highly corrosive applications
  • Compatible with standard 6.00 x 6.00 inch wireway systems
  • No cutting or welding required; reduces installation time and material waste

How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, Cap nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the parts of the telescope fitting in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Make the box entry cutout

Using the connector flange as a template, trace and cut out the entry hole on the outside of the enclosure. Position the connector flange and gasket inside the enclosure.

  5. Connect the swivel nipple

Position the swivel nipple and gasket on the outside of the enclosure, then secure it with clips, screws, and nuts.

  6. Verify grounding continuity

If the wireway is to be used for grounding, ensure that grounding continuity is maintained across the telescope fitting.
