This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting and securing nVent HOFFMAN Type 1 Snap Connect Wireway sections using the snap-connect feature and fasteners.

Torque wrench or screwdriver with torque setting
Supplies needed:
SCR HEX 10-32X.250 screws, HEX 10-32 nuts, #10 lock washers
- Connect Wireway Sections
Align two sections of the Type 1 Snap Connect Wireway. Push them together firmly until the snap-connect feature audibly 'Clicks' into place, ensuring a secure initial engagement.
- Fasten External Connection Points
Insert two SCR HEX 10-32X.250 screws into the designated external holes at the top and bottom of the connected wireway sections. Hand-tighten these screws to secure the primary connection.
- Install Internal Securing Fasteners
For additional security, install the remaining two SCR HEX 10-32X.250 screws, two HEX 10-32 nuts, and two #10 lock washers into the internal securing points of the wireway connection, as indicated in the 'Install Inside' diagram.
- Apply Final Torque to Fasteners
Using a torque wrench or screwdriver with a torque setting, tighten all securing screws to 4.5 0.5 N*M (40 4.0 LBF*IN). Ensure all connections are firmly secured to prevent movement.
