Twin-70 raceway base, 10 foot length. Supplied with pre-punched mounting holes. 2' of cover needed for every 1' of Twin-70 base. How to Install the Lay-In Wireway
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors
- Assemble the wireway sections
Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.
- Seal the joints
After installing the wires, seal each joint between the sections using either the LSGQR fitting method or the 90° angle sealing plate method as described in the installation instructions.
- Install box entries
Make a cutout in the control enclosure for the wireway entry, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a 90° angle sealing plate to secure the connection.
- Adjust telescope fitting
Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length before securing with screws.
- Anchor telescope fitting
If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting, then install screws with cap nuts and lockwashers.
- Calibrate and test
After installation, verify all connections with a multimeter to ensure proper grounding and continuity across the wireway.
