How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any sharp edges.

  5. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure them with screws and nuts as indicated in the installation details.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for the box connector and position the gaskets accordingly. Ensure proper sealing between the wireway and the enclosure.

  7. Install hangers

Assemble and attach the hangers to the wireway flanges in the desired positions, ensuring they do not fit between adjacent wireway flanges.
