How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Wire connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

After installing the wires, seal each joint between sections using either the LSGQR fitting method or the 90° angle sealing plate method, ensuring all gaskets are properly positioned.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure for the wireway entry, position the box connector and gasket inside, and seal with a 90° angle sealing plate.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used in a vertical position, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting, then install screws and cap nuts.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

Ensure all sections are level and securely fastened, then verify grounding continuity if the wireway is to be used for grounding.
