How to Install the EXAS200SS6 Hole Seal

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the EXAS200SS6 Hole Seal on a metallic enclosure to maintain an IP66 rating.

Estimated time: 30m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Hex driver or wrench, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gasket, Outer plate, Retainer plate, Hex nut

  1. Check hole size

Verify the hole size in the enclosure matches the specifications for the EXAS200SS6. Clean and de-burr the hole, ensuring the edge is at least 12mm from the edge of the enclosure gland plate.

  2. Mount the gasket

Attach the gasket onto the outer plate, ensuring it is aligned correctly for sealing.

  3. Fit the outer plate

Insert the outer plate and gasket into the cable entry from the outside of the enclosure. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned to seal the enclosure before proceeding.

  4. Secure the retainer plate

Mount the retainer plate onto the stud and secure it with the hex nut using a 3/8 in. hex driver or wrench. Torque the nut to 18 in*lb (2 N*m) without over-tightening.

  5. Verify installation

Check that the product label on the retainer plate is visible from inside the enclosure and ensure the assembly is securely fastened.
