Overview

The nVent DGT1 Heavy-Duty C-Tap is a UL-listed and CSA-certified copper connector designed for robust electrical connections in industrial environments. Engineered to splice two stranded or solid copper conductors, this C-tap serves as a wire joint or two-way splice in unbroken continuous mains. The DGT1 accommodates a conductor size range of #2 AWG (run) to #4 stranded/#8 solid (tap), minimizing inventory requirements with its wide wire range-taking capability. Manufactured from high-conductivity copper with a polished finish, the DGT1 ensures superior conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term reliability. It is rated for 600V and 90°C when crimped with Panduit or specified competitor crimping tools and dies. The compact design measures 0.60" (15.3mm) in height, 0.75" (19.1mm) in width, and 1.05" (26.7mm) in length, with a wire strip length of 1" (25.4mm). Packaged in quantities of 10, the DGT1 is ideal for power distribution, industrial automation, and heavy machinery installations where dependable electrical connections are critical. Proper installation with a dedicated heavy-duty crimping tool (not included) is required to achieve listed ratings.
  • The Heavy Duty C-Taps splice two stranded or solid connectors together
  • With respect to the tool being heavy duty, it requires a crimping tool (not included) to correctly tighten the C-Taps around the connectors
  • Accommodates #2 AWG (run) to #4 stranded/#8 solid (tap) conductors
  • Polished copper construction for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance
  • Requires heavy-duty crimping tool (not included) for proper installation
