How to Install the CP7230G Wall-Mount Enclosure
Follow these instructions to properly mount and install your CP7230G wall-mount enclosure.

Drill, Level, Measuring tape, Screwdriver, Wrench or socket set
Supplies needed:
Mounting hardware (screws, anchors, bolts), Gasket (if applicable), Sealing fittings (if applicable)
- Select Mounting Location
Choose a suitable location for the enclosure. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the weight of the enclosure and its contents. Consider environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and potential exposure to corrosive elements. Refer to the datasheet for specific environmental ratings.
- Prepare the Enclosure
If necessary, install any required accessories such as internal mounting panels, gland plates, or door stops. Ensure the gasket is properly seated around the door flange for a watertight seal. If using sealing fittings for cable entry, install them according to their specific instructions.
- Mark Mounting Holes
Hold the enclosure in the desired position against the mounting surface. Use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the locations for the mounting holes through the designated mounting points on the back of the enclosure or the internal mounting panel.
- Drill Mounting Holes
Remove the enclosure from the mounting surface. Drill the mounting holes at the marked locations. If mounting to a concrete or masonry surface, use appropriate masonry bits and install anchors. If mounting to a metal surface, ensure the holes are appropriately sized for the chosen fasteners.
- Mount the Enclosure
Position the enclosure over the drilled holes. Secure the enclosure to the mounting surface using appropriate hardware (screws, bolts, etc.). Ensure the enclosure is firmly attached and does not move. Use a wrench or socket set for tightening bolts as needed.
- Install Equipment and Wiring
Install any internal equipment according to its specific instructions. Route wiring through the appropriate conduit or cable entries, ensuring proper strain relief and sealing. Refer to the wiring diagrams provided with the equipment and the enclosure datasheet for guidance on wire management and sealing.
- Final Inspection
Close and latch the enclosure door securely. Verify that all seals are properly engaged and that the enclosure is watertight or weatherproof as required by its rating. Double-check that all mounting hardware is tight and that the installation is secure.
