- Prepare Mounting Panel for Disconnect Device
Drill the mounting panel according to the disconnect device manufacturer's instructions. Ensure all holes are correctly sized and positioned for the device.
- Install Disconnect Device Operating Handle
Install the operating handle onto the enclosure flange using the provided holes. Refer to the disconnect manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.
- Mount Disconnect Device to Panel
Install the disconnect device onto the prepared mounting panel. Follow the disconnect manufacturer's instructions for proper installation and any necessary adjustments.
- Disassemble Padlocking Handle Latch Assembly
Remove the M6 screw that fastens the insert to the latch assembly. Carefully remove the latch, insert, o-ring, and wave washer from the latch housing.
- Lubricate and Assemble Padlocking Handle
Apply superlube (p/n 99411823) to the handle and latch in the specified locations. Assemble the handle to the latch housing.
- Secure Padlocking Handle
Re-install the M6 screw to the handle nose. Torque the M6 screw to 38 in-lbs (4.3 Nm) to secure the handle assembly.
- Adjust Door Catch and Interlock Bracket
Adjust the nVent HOFFMAN installed door catch and door catch bracket, which feature vertical adjustment and two horizontal mounting positions. For models like CDSC20228SS6, if vertical down adjustment is required and the door catch is at the standard hole position, cut off the indicated part.
