The nVent AFS04042-316 is a wall-mounted hygienic enclosure constructed from AISI 316L stainless steel, measuring 400x400x210 mm. It features a single door and an integrated mounting plate, offering IP66, Type 4X, 12, and 13 protection. The enclosure's body is 1.5 mm thick, with the door also at 1.5 mm, ensuring robust protection for internal components. A key design element is the integral sloping roof, angled between 8 and 20 degrees with a 10 mm overhang, which effectively directs liquids away from the door, preventing accumulation. This feature is critical for washdown environments and industries where hygiene is paramount, such as food and beverage processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The door provides a 130° opening with concealed AISI 304 stainless steel hinges and a captive pin, allowing for left or right-hand opening with required machining. Sealing is achieved through an injected one-piece silicone gasket. The enclosure includes a Zamak double-bit 3 mm lock with 90° movement. The 2 mm galvanized steel mounting plate is marked at 10 mm intervals for easy equipment positioning and features holes for cable fixing, attaching to M8 press-welded studs. The AFS04042-316 meets IK10 impact resistance standards. It is delivered with the enclosure, door, mounting plate, metallic key, and mounting accessories.
