Overview

The nVent Sequestr External Disconnect Package (SKU: A90XD4020SSFTCLP) is a Type 4X, 304 stainless steel enclosure designed to isolate incoming power and mitigate arc flash hazards during maintenance. This 90x40x20 enclosure is constructed from 12-gauge (main) and 14-gauge (external disconnect) Type 304 stainless steel, offering superior corrosion resistance for non-corrosive or mildly corrosive indoor and outdoor environments. The package includes a main enclosure and a pre-mounted Sequestr disconnect enclosure with a fuse block or circuit breaker, shipped as a single unit for new installations. Terminal connections are pre-configured to supply power to the main enclosure, reducing on-site assembly time. The Sequestr enclosure features continuous welds, a smooth #4 brushed finish, quarter-turn slotted latches, and a 3-point latching mechanism with a Type 316L stainless steel POWERGLIDE padlocking handle. It interlocks with the main enclosure door when the disconnect switch is powered ON, preventing access to live components. The enclosure meets UL 508A, cUL, NEMA Type 4X, and IEC 60529 IP66/IP67 standards, ensuring reliable protection in harsh industrial settings. Compatible with nVent A28S4 main enclosures, it can also be retrofitted into existing systems for enhanced safety.
