Overview

The nVent A604SC is a Type 12 screw cover enclosure designed for industrial environments requiring protection against dust, dirt, and non-corrosive liquids. Constructed from 14-gauge G-90 galvanized steel with a 12-gauge galvanized steel cover, this enclosure provides robust durability and a smooth, weld-seam finish. Its compact 6.00 x 4.00 x 3.00 inch dimensions make it ideal for space-constrained installations while maintaining a secure housing for electrical and electronic components. Key features include a screw cover secured at each corner with captive plated steel screws, ensuring a positive seal against contaminants. The enclosure includes a grounding stud on the inside back for safety compliance and is phosphatized with ANSI 61 gray powder coating for corrosion resistance. It meets UL 508A, cUL, NEMA Type 12, and IEC 60529 IP65 standards, making it suitable for indoor applications where protection from falling dirt and dripping non-corrosive liquids is required. Common applications include control panel housing, junction boxes, instrumentation enclosures, and protection for relays, timers, and power supplies. The A604SC is manufactured in the US by nVent, a leader in electrical enclosure solutions, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with industry standards.
