Overview

The nVent HOFFMAN A444GSC is a 4x4x4 inch galvanized steel enclosure designed for Type 3R outdoor applications. Constructed from 14 gauge G-90 galvanized steel, it offers robust protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet, and snow. The enclosure features continuously welded seams that are ground smooth, ensuring structural integrity and preventing ingress of environmental contaminants. Its slip-on removable cover is secured with plated steel screws along the bottom edge, providing convenient access for wiring and maintenance. The internal grounding stud enhances electrical safety. This enclosure is UL 50/50E listed for Type 3R applications and cUL listed per CSA C22.2 No 94. Ideal for outdoor wiring, junction boxes, and terminal enclosures in industrial and commercial settings. Compatible accessories include industrial corrosion inhibitors, electric heaters, grounding devices, and mounting bracket kits. Mounting screws, Sealing washers, Mounting foot studs, Nuts

  1. Prepare mounting holes

    Locate the mounting foot stud location using the provided dimensions. Use a center punch to mark the hole centers, and drill four 0.5 inch (13 mm) diameter holes.

  2. Insert sealing washers

    Insert sealing washers into the drilled holes from the outside, ensuring the tapered cone is facing toward the hole.

  3. Attach mounting foot studs

    Insert the mounting foot studs through the sealing washers and turn the enclosure upright. Thread nuts onto the mounting foot studs and tighten to 200 in-lbs.
