Overview

The Woodhead Safeway® 27T81YL is a NEMA L21-20 locking blade connector designed for 3-phase 208V AC systems. Rated for 20A at 50/60Hz, this 4-pole/5-wire device features a durable yellow poly housing and nickel-plated brass contacts for corrosion resistance. The floating blade construction ensures self-alignment for reliable electrical connections with minimal heat generation. Key features include a transparent wiring guide to verify wire strand placement, captive stainless steel speed screws for long life, and tri-drive wire terminals compatible with straight, Phillips, or square-drive screwdrivers. The two-piece cord-clamp strain relief secures cables from 0.425" to 1.150" diameter. The NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber housing provides superior abrasion, chemical, and temperature resistance. Ideal for manufacturing, automation, and temporary power installations where vibration resistance and secure mating are critical. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 75°C with a maximum 30°C temperature rise under full load.
