How to Install Terminal Block Markers on the TB05X08EWT-AB2 Printer

- Update TDP43ME Printer Firmware
Ensure your TDP43ME printer has firmware version G3.0AP1 or newer. To check the version, press and hold the FEED button while turning on the printer until the first three beeps, then release. A self-test will print showing the version number. If an update is needed, visit www.panduit.com/FirmwareUpdate, download the firmware, and run the DownloadTool.exe. Select the .BIN file and click Open to begin the installation.
- Install Easy-Mark Plus Labeling Software
If you haven't already, install the Easy-Mark Plus labeling software. Existing Easy-Mark users can get a free upgrade from www.panduit.com. New users can install the software provided with the TDP43ME printer.
- Install Width Guide
Align the right 'R' width guide insert into the green printer guide and press until it snaps into place. Repeat for the left 'L' side. Use the tabs on the width guides to adjust them as needed. To remove the guides when switching label types, use the rear tabs to lift and detach them.
- Install Front Plate
Remove the metal tear bar from the front of the printer by pulling upwards. Then, press the releasable tabs on the sides of the current front plate and pull it out. Slide the new front plate down from above the printer and press until it sits flush. Ensure the metal bar was removed if the plate does not sit flush.
- Configure Print Driver Stop Position
Open 'Devices and Printers' on your computer. Right-click the TDP43ME printer, select 'Printing Preferences,' go to the 'Advanced Setup' tab, click 'Other,' and change the 'Stop Position' to 0.00. Click 'Apply' and 'OK'.
- Configure Easy-Mark Plus Print Offset
Open a terminal block marker format in Easy-Mark Plus. Click 'Print,' then 'Print Document,' and select your TDP43ME printer. Click 'Features.' For TB05X12, TB06X12, & TB08X12 markers, change 'Top Offset' to 1.5mm (0.059in). For TB05X08 & TB06X08 markers, change 'Top Offset' to 2.49mm (0.098in). Check the 'Save Offsets' box.
