How to Install the iNC Network Controller Module
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the iNC Network Controller Module in a Panduit SmartZone G5 iPDU.

Supplies needed:
USB drive (for firmware update)
- Remove existing connections
Disconnect all cables from the front of the existing iNC Network Control Module, documenting the port connections for later reconnection.
- Remove the old module
Using a T10 screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the iNC Network Control Module or Upgradable iPDU Blanking Panel, then remove it from the PDU chassis.
- Install the new module
Connect the ribbon cable to the new iNC Network Controller module, then install it into the PDU chassis, ensuring the ribbon cable is not strained or kinked.
- Secure the new module
Tighten the two screws using the T10 screwdriver to secure the iNC Network Control Module in place, ensuring not to over-tighten to avoid metal deformation.
- Update the firmware
Download the latest firmware from http://www.panduit.com/pdu-support, save it to the root directory of a USB drive, and insert the USB drive into the iNC Network Controller.
- Enter USB mode
On the PDU, press Select, go to Setup > USB, and confirm by selecting Yes to enter USB mode.
- Upload new firmware
Select F/W Up > Yes to upload the new firmware and monitor the progress on the OLED display.
- Exit USB mode
Once the upload is complete, remove the USB drive, select Quit from the USB Menu, and confirm to exit USB mode.
- Verify firmware update
After the PDU reboots, go to Setup > Device > Firmware to confirm that the firmware was uploaded successfully.
