This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Panduit G5 Power Distribution Unit (PDU) in a data center rack.

Phillips screwdriver, Torx screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Cage nuts, Ground bonding cable
- Mount the PDU
Align and install the mounting buttons with the screw holes on the face of the PDU. Insert the mounting buttons into the keyhole slots on the PDU mounting bracket in the rack.
- Connect the Ground Bonding Cable
Attach the ground bonding cable to the external grounding point on the chassis of the PDU. Ensure that the other end is connected to a known earthed reference terminal.
- Connect the PDU to Power Source
Turn off the feed circuit breaker. Connect the PDU to an appropriately rated branch circuit and ensure all circuit breakers on the PDU are set to On. Turn the feed circuit breaker back on.
- Configure the PDU
Access the Web interface of the PDU. Navigate to the System Management page and select the correct input cord type. Save the settings to complete the configuration.
