P110PC4-XY connector, Cable
- Prepare the Cable
Cut the cable to the desired length. Strip at least 1.5 inches of the cable jacket from the end of the cable.
- Position the Cable
Place the end of the cable jacket into the strain relief prongs located on the inside of the connector cover. These prongs will hold the cable in place during termination.
- Insert Wires into Cover
Insert each wire into its appropriate channel in the connector cover. Maintain the twists in the wires as close to the termination points as possible (within 0.5 inches for Category 5e cable).
- Trim Wire Ends
Trim the wire ends flush with the angled face of the connector cover. The angled cutoff face prevents the trimmed wire ends from interfering with the closure of the housing.
- Close the Connector Housing
Press the connector cover and base together until all latches are fully engaged. Ensure the correct cover (one, two, three, or four pair) is used for the cable type.
- Prepare for Mating
