Tools needed:
T25 Torx bit, 15mm socket wrench
Supplies needed:
Countersunk Torx screws, Shims, Equipment Rail Mounting Brackets, Equipment Rail Mount Nuts, M10 Hex Screws
- Remove existing front rails
Remove the existing front equipment rails from the cabinet posts by unscrewing them with a T25 Torx bit.
- Install new front equipment rails
Install the new Front Equipment Rails to the Front Cabinet Posts using five Countersunk Torx screws per rail. Use a T25 Torx bit for installation. Use supplied shims as necessary to ensure proper EIA spacing.
- Attach mounting brackets to equipment rails
Install four Equipment Rail Mounting Brackets to the Equipment Rails using three Countersunk Torx screws per bracket. Ensure the countersunk holes of the brackets align with the heads of the screws. Use a T25 Torx bit for installation.
- Position rear equipment rails
Locate the desired position for the rear equipment rails within the cabinet.
- Insert mount nuts
Insert two Equipment Rail Mount Nuts through the slots of the Front-to-Back Beam at the top and bottom locations for each rail.
- Fasten rear equipment rails
Fasten two M10 Hex Screws to the Equipment Rail Mount Nuts at the top and bottom of each Equipment Rail. Use a 15mm socket wrench for tightening. Tighten the M10 Hex Head Screws to 30.0 +/- 5.0 N-m (22.1 +/- 3.7 Ft-lbs).
