5/16” screwdriver, Scissors or shears, BT2HTI installation tool
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Cushion sleeves, Buckle strap cleats
- Mount the bracket
Align and insert the channel nut through the bottom opening of the ladder rung. Position the bracket assembly perpendicular to the ladder rung and thread the channel nut until resistance is felt. Torque the bolt to 75 lbs∙in [8.5 N∙m].
- Install the cushion sleeve
Position the individual cushion sleeve under the cable or cable bundle. Wrap the cushion sleeve around the bundle and insert the barbed end into the cushion sleeve slot, pulling tightly to secure.
- Thread the buckle strap cleat
Encircle the cable bundle with the buckle strap cleat. Thread the end of the body through the opening and underneath the bridge of the buckle. Pull the body tight to ensure a secure fit.
- Tension the strap
Use the BT2HTI installation tool to tension the strap. Slide the tool to the bridge of the buckle and squeeze the front handle until the body conforms to the shape of the bundle.
- Cut the strap
While the tool is bent forward, rotate the cutter handle towards the cable bundle until the body is cut. Remove the tool without bending the body to maintain tension.
- Finish the installation
Press down on the cutoff end of the strap body. Insert a 5/16” screwdriver inside the tab opening of the buckle, ensuring the screwdriver tip remains on top of the cutoff body throughout the buckle tab rotation. The installation is now complete.
