This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the MPI588T Industrial Plug, including wiring and securing connections.

Screwdriver, Torque wrench, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
Keyed thrust washer, Nut, Flex tail, Tethered cap
- Prepare the enclosure
Insert the bulkhead into the prepared opening from the outside of the enclosure. Ensure it is properly oriented and clicks into position.
- Secure the bulkhead
On the inside of the enclosure, secure the bulkhead with the keyed thrust washer and nut. Torque the nut to 20 in-lbs using a torque wrench.
- Terminate the plug
Slide the flex tail onto the cable and route it through the rear of the plug housing. Terminate the plug according to PANDUIT Instruction Sheet PN85 for UTP Plug or PNR234 for Shielded Plug.
- Connect the plug
Properly seat the plug into the plug housing opening. Twist on the flex tail and ensure the plug is fully pushed back before torquing the flex tail to 20 in-lbs for IP67 protection.
- Seal the connection
If not in use, attach the tethered cap to seal the industrial plug, ensuring it is securely fastened.
