Panduit pin retraction tool, Screwdriver
Supplies needed:
Heat shrink, Electrical tape, Expandable sleeve, Nylon ripcord
- Remove the heat shrink
Close the loop on the nylon ripcord and pull the loop through the slot in the heat shrink towards the front of the assembly to split it open and remove it.
- Remove the electrical tape
Unwrap and remove any electrical tape that may be present around the assembly to expose the connectors.
- Install the expandable sleeve
Slide the expandable sleeve over the split loom tube containing the connectors, then carefully remove the split loom tube to complete the installation.
- Change the connector gender
Follow the gender changeover instructions by removing the outer housing, using the pin retraction tool to adjust the pins, and re-installing the outer housing correctly.
- Verify connector alignment
Ensure that the arc cut-outs and white dashes align on both sides of the PanMPO housing for proper functionality.
