This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FRME3 Fiber Enclosure, including mounting, wiring, and labeling.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Grommet, Caution label, Laser warning label, Port I.D. label
- Prepare the enclosure
Determine the cable entry location on the enclosure. Remove the knockout by inserting a screwdriver into the slot located in the center of the knockout and applying a twisting upward motion, then lift out.
- Install the grommet
Insert the grommet according to the proper cutting diagram. Ensure it fits securely to prevent dust and debris from entering the enclosure.
- Mount the enclosure
Attach the enclosure brackets to the front mounting holes for flush mounting or mid enclosure mounting holes for projection mounting. Use the provided #10-32 screws and nuts to secure the brackets.
- Attach grounding lug
Connect the grounding lug to a stud at the rear, inside the enclosure, on the top or bottom using a #10-32 nut. This is crucial for safety.
- Apply labels
Apply the laser warning label and caution label in a clearly visible location on the enclosure. Also, apply the port I.D. label(s) on the inside of the door.
