How to Install the FO12CB Fanout Kit

Heat gun, Cable stripping tool, Utility knife, Tape measure

Supplies needed:

Heat shrink tube, Adhesive tape, Double sided tape

  1. Prepare the cable

    Slide the heat shrink tube over the cable and prepare the cable according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring all fibers are free of gel.

  2. Secure the furcation tube assembly

    Lay the cable on a table and tape the furcation tube assembly securely to the edge of the table.

  3. Load the fibers

    Carefully thread each fiber into the tube assembly, matching the fiber colors to the colors of the tubing.

  4. Assemble the kit

    Remove the tube assembly from the table edge, slide it toward the base ensuring fibers do not bend, and place the tube assembly into the base. Snap the cover on top of the base.

  5. Shrink the heat shrink tube

    Slide the heat shrink tube up and use a heat gun to shrink it to the housing.

  6. Mount the base

    Use double sided tape to mount the base as needed.
