- Mount the enclosure
Secure the enclosure to the rack using four #12-24 screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
- Install the strain relief bracket
Place the strain relief bracket near the area where the cable will enter the enclosure. Fasten it using a #10-32 hex nut.
- Prepare the cable entry
Determine which grommet will be used for cable entry. Remove the knock-out at the entry location of the fiber tray and install the grommet according to the cutting diagram.
- Secure the cable
Insert the cable through the grommet and secure it to the strain relief bracket using a cable tie. Strip 1 meter of jacket from the end of the cable and attach the strength member to the #10-32 stud with a hex nut.
- Install the bend radius brackets
Slide the bend radius brackets onto the tabs with the slots facing outside and snap them in place.
- Terminate the fibers
Terminate the fibers with appropriate connectors and mount each connector in the panel.
- Loop excess fiber
Gently loop the excess fiber around the spools inside the enclosure.
- Attach safety labels
Attach the Laser Warning Label and Caution Label where they are clearly visible on the enclosure.
- Replace the cover
After all fibers are looped around the spools, replace the cover by sliding it forward until it secures in place.
