Supplies needed:
FBKSL-M05-KIT Fiber Breakout Sleeve, Tak Ty, Heat shrink tubing
- Prepare the fiber cables
Strip off the outer cable jacket of the incoming fiber cable to expose at least 20 feet of fiber. Ensure the buffer tubes are left with 2-3 inch stubs.
- Install the breakout sleeve
Feed the bare fiber into the FBKSL-M05-KIT breakout sleeve until it reaches the end of the buffer tube. Pull the sleeve over the buffer tube with a ½ inch overlap.
- Secure the breakout sleeve
Use heat shrink tubing to secure the breakout sleeve to the buffer tube. Ensure that the sleeve is tightly fitted and there are no loose fibers.
- Attach the FLEX-CLIP12
Install the FLEX-CLIP12 in the Incoming Cable Plate and snap the transition tube into the FLEX-CLIP12 to secure the breakout sleeve.
- Organize the fiber cables
Use Tak Ty to secure the fiber cables to the vertical cable guides and ensure they are properly managed within the enclosure.
