- Review Safety and Prepare Tools
Review all important safety information, including warnings regarding high leakage current, overcurrent protection, and hazardous energy levels. - Mount the PDU in the Rack
Mount the Panduit EL2P PDU into the datacenter rack or cabinet. For horizontal (1U/2U) PDUs, install cage nuts at the desired U location, then attach the PDU's mounting bracket ears to the RETMA rails using screws. - Ground the PDU
Connect a ground bonding cable from the external ground bonding point on the PDU chassis to a known earthed reference terminal in the building or to a grounding strip/bus bar in the rack. - Connect the PDU to a Power Source
WARNING: To isolate this equipment, disconnect the power cord. This PDU contains LETHAL VOLTAGES; no repairs should be performed except for network management card replacement. All connections must be made by qualified personnel. Ensure the feed circuit breaker for the power source is in the 'Off' position. Verify that all circuit breakers on the PDU are set to 'On'. Connect the PDU's input power cord to an appropriately rated, grounded (earthed) branch circuit that adheres to all local and national electrical codes.
