How to Install the DIFBA2002S00S Switch Ducting

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the DIFBA2002S00S switch ducting in a Net-Access S-Type Server Cabinet.

Supplies needed:

Bonding cage nuts, Mounting screws, Wing nuts, Tooth washers, Foam seal

  1. Prepare the switch

    Remove the bottom screws from the front of the switch rails and discard them.

  2. Install cage nuts

    Insert [2] bonding cage nuts per equipment rail in the rack space immediately above the switch rails at the front of the cabinet.

  3. Install switch ducting

    Secure the DIFBA2002S00S switch ducting to the equipment rails using [4] screws. Do not tighten the [2] bottom screws; leave them slightly extended for the Front Perforated Plate installation.

  4. Adjust switch ducting

    Use [4] wing nuts and tooth washers to adjust the position of the switch duct seals. Install a foam seal if necessary to seal the ducting to the bottom of the switch.

  5. Route switch power cable

    Route the switch power cable through the power grommet located on either side of the DIFBA2002S00S. Use a utility knife to slit the power grommet(s) along the guide lines, as needed, to allow for power cord pass-through.

  6. Install front perforated plate

    Slide the slots at the bottom of the Front Perforated Plate over the [2] bottom screws. Secure the top of the Front Perforated Plate to the switch ducting and equipment rails with [2] bonding screws, then tighten the [2] bottom screws.
