Cable stripper, Flush cutters
Supplies needed:
Mini-Com Shielded Jack Modules, Data cable
- Prepare the Cable
Trim the pair separator and/or ripcord, if present, from the data cable.
- Arrange Conductors
Do not pre-arrange conductors. Follow the T568A or T568B wiring scheme as indicated in the diagram. Ensure conductors are properly seated in their respective slots.
- Terminate Conductors
Terminate the conductors into the jack module according to the chosen wiring scheme (T568A or T568B). Ensure each conductor is fully inserted.
- Trim Conductors
Trim all conductors flush with the jack module.
- Trim Drain Wire
Trim the drain wire flush, if present.
- Install Grounding Kit (if applicable)
If using a Mini-Com Modular Patch Panel, install the CJSGK-X Grounding Kit. This is optional for Mini-Com All Metal Shielded Modular Patch Panels.
