Wire strippers, Punch down tool (CWST or CJT), Snipping tool
Supplies needed:
CJ66BLY Mini-Jack Module, 22-24 AWG solid or stranded IWC cable
- Prepare the cable
Remove the outer jacket of the IWC cable. Untwist each pair of conductors only as much as necessary to arrange them in the proper color sequence for the desired wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Smooth the conductors.
- Arrange conductors
Arrange the smoothed conductors in the correct color sequence according to the T568A or T568B standard. Refer to the color-coded wire positions diagram for the specific CJ66BLY module series.
- Terminate conductors
Insert the arranged conductors into the corresponding slots on the CJ66BLY Mini-Jack Module. Use a punch down tool (CWST or CJT) to firmly seat each conductor into its insulation displacement connector. Ensure the tool cuts off any excess wire.
- Install termination cap
If applicable, place the termination cap over the terminated wires to protect them and ensure a secure connection.
