CD-2001-8-SET
The CD-2001-8-SET Crimp Dies provide circumferential crimp results in terminations with premium electrical and mechanical performance. Color-coded to provide easy matching on connectors while an embossed die index number on the connector barrels provide post crimp inspection. The part number is permanently marked on the crimping die for easy identification and used with the CT-3001/ST and CT-3001/CCP series tools.
How to Install the CD-920-F91 Crimp Die

Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Ferrules (F87-18 for 1 AWG)
- Mount the crimp die
Secure the CD-920-F91 crimp die to the designated crimping tool using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and aligned properly.
- Prepare the ferrule
Select the appropriate ferrule (F87-18 for 1 AWG) and strip the insulation from the end of the wire to expose the conductor. Insert the wire into the ferrule until it reaches the bottom.
- Perform the crimp
Place the ferrule into the crimp die and apply a standard crimping action. For 1 AWG, perform a double crimp by removing the crimped ferrule, rotating it 180 degrees, and re-inserting it into the die before crimping again.
- Verify the crimp
Use a go/no-go gauge to check the crimped ferrule. Ensure it passes the GO dimension and fails the NO GO dimension to confirm a proper crimp.
