This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the CD-525 crimping die insert into the crimping head of compatible tools.

Supplies needed:
Crimp Die Insert, Mounting screws
- Remove the crimp head
Pull out the pins and remove the crimp head from the tool to access the crimp die insert area.
- Install the lower crimp die insert
Insert the lower half of the Crimp Die Insert into the tool, ensuring it is fully seated and aligned with the screw hole.
- Install the upper crimp die insert
Insert the upper half of the Crimp Die Insert into the tool, ensuring it is fully seated and aligned with the screw hole.
- Secure the crimp die inserts
Bring the lower jaw up to mate with the upper jaw and insert the two screws to secure the die inserts, tightening them appropriately.
- Reattach the crimp head
Reinsert the crimp head with the newly installed Crimp Die Inserts back into the tool, ensuring it is locked securely with the locating pins.
- Perform maintenance
Thoroughly clean all surfaces of the tool and oil the locating pins to ensure smooth operation.
