How to Replace the Handle Spring on the BT2HTI
Instructions for replacing the handle spring on the BT2HTI tool.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver (for E-ring), Grease applicator
Supplies needed:
Handle Return Spring part number: TB24796B01, Grease (Versalube G326 or equivalent)
- Prepare the tool
Move the Back Handle away from the tool body. Turn the Tension adjustment all the way down.
- Disassemble the tool
Flip the tool over and remove the E-ring from the Mandrel, setting it aside. Remove the Mandrel and the Ratchet, setting them aside. Push both Bearings inside the tool body. Remove the Front Handle.
- Install the new spring
Apply Grease (Versalube G326 or equivalent) on the new Handle Spring. Place the Handle Spring around the smaller Bearing.
- Reassemble the tool
Slide the Handle back into the Tool Body with the Handle Spring. Push the Bearings out until they are flush with the Tool Bodies. Ensure the dot on the Ratchet is facing you and slide the Ratchet in. Slide the Mandrel back in and reattach the E-ring.
