Supplies needed:
Handle Spring (part number: TB24796B01), Grease (Versalube G326 or equivalent)
- Remove the Back Handle
Move the Back Handle away from the tool as shown in the documentation.
- Lower the Tension
Turn the Tension all the way down to release any pressure on the handle.
- Disassemble the Tool
Flip the tool over and remove the E-ring from the Mandrel, then set it aside. Next, remove the Mandrel and the Ratchet, placing them aside as well.
- Prepare for Spring Installation
Push both Bearings inside the tool body and then remove the Front Handle.
- Apply Grease and Install Spring
Apply grease to the new Handle Spring and place it around the smaller Bearing.
- Reassemble the Tool
Slide the Handle back into the Tool Body with the Handle Spring in place. Ensure the Bearings are pushed out to flush with the Tool Bodies.
- Reinstall the Ratchet and Mandrel
Make sure the dot on the Ratchet is facing you, then slide the Ratchet in. After that, slide the Mandrel back in and secure it with the E-ring.
