Overview

The NSI Industries TL-387 is a 2-1/2 inch threadless insulated grounding bushing constructed from durable malleable iron. Designed for use with rigid and intermediate metal conduit (IMC), this bushing offers a secure and compliant grounding solution. It features an integral grounding lug, eliminating the need for separate components and reducing the risk of lost parts during installation. The insulating nylon surface is rated for 150°C and covers the top of the bushing, including lug corners, to protect conductors. Its innovative design includes a cone-point mounting screw with a nylon locking patch that bites securely into conduit, preventing loosening due to vibration. The rounded insulator surface reduces wire pulling drag and prevents abrasion. This bushing is compatible with wire ranges from 8 AWG to 2/0 AWG copper or aluminum, simplifying inventory by accommodating a broad range of ground wires. The TL-387 is listed by UL (File #E3060) and CSA (File #LR2884), conforming to UL 514B and UL 467, as well as CSA C22.2 No. 18 and CSA C22.2 No. 41. Its threadless design offers a significant installation advantage over traditional threaded bushings, especially in tight spaces, by eliminating the need to thread the bushing onto the conduit. This streamlines the installation process and ensures reliable ground continuity.
