Overview

The NSI Industries TORK® MC-2400 is a robust photocontrol engineered for reliable automated lighting management. Manufactured by NSI Industries, this unit, part of the respected TORK® line, functions as a dusk-to-dawn sensor, precisely activating and deactivating lighting systems based on ambient light levels. This ensures optimal illumination when natural light is insufficient and conserves energy by turning lights off during daylight hours. Designed for diverse outdoor and commercial applications, the MC-2400 offers dependable performance. It features a conformal coated CDS sensor that resists moisture and airborne contaminants, ensuring longevity and consistent operation. The unit provides instant ON and a 3-5 second delay OFF, effectively preventing false switching caused by transient light sources like passing vehicles or lightning. Meeting UL773 and ANSI C136.10 standards, the MC-2400 is built with a durable outdoor NEMA Type 3R housing with a grey enamel finish and includes two 1/2”– 3/4” combination knockouts in the bottom for convenient installation. Its 3-prong turn-lock receptacle meets EEI NEMA requirements. The photocontrol consumes a maximum of 3 watts during daylight. The switch type is 3PST. Specific voltage and load ratings are detailed in technical documentation, but typical applications include street lighting and controlling lighting loads in excess of the photocontrol's contact capacity. The MC-2400 is manufactured in the USA.
