The NSI Industries Polaris ITO-1/0B is a dual-rated, pre-insulated connector designed for reliable splicing of copper and/or aluminum conductors. This offset, dual-side entry connector features two ports, each accommodating wire sizes from 1/0 AWG down to 14 AWG. The connector body is constructed from aluminum alloy, providing robust conductivity, and is fully encapsulated in high-dielectric strength plastisol insulation. This insulation offers excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and UV rays, and will not support combustion. Each port is pre-loaded with an oxide inhibitor to ensure a secure, long-lasting connection. Removable access plugs are provided to seal the unused port. Installation is simplified, requiring only a hex key and torque wrench, eliminating the need for additional tape or supplies. The ITO-1/0B is rated for 600V and a maximum operating temperature of 90°C (AL90CU). It is UL Listed 486B Wire Connector for dry locations and is cold temperature rated to -45°C. The maximum torque value for this connector is 175-225 in./lbs., utilizing a 1/4 inch hex/wrench size. Applications include installation in cable trays, panel boards, ducts, raceways, and troughs. The Polaris ITO-1/0B offers a streamlined, all-in-one solution for electrical connections, saving time and resources on each installation.
