Overview

The NSI Polaris IPLD2-5 Multi-Tap Dual-Sided Entry Black Connector is a pre-insulated, 5-port wire splicing solution engineered for secure, high-performance connections in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Designed for use with 2 AWG to 14 AWG copper or aluminum cables (not recommended for fine-stranded, flexible wire), this connector supports applications in cable trays, panel boards, ducts, raceways, and troughs. The aluminum alloy body is wrapped in high-dielectric strength plastisol insulation, providing abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance while preventing combustion. Each dual-sided port is pre-loaded with an oxide inhibitor and features removable access plugs over hex screws for tool-free port closure when unused. Installation requires only a hex key and torque wrench—no tape or additional supplies needed. The IPLD2-5 is rated for 600V and operates from -45°C to 90°C, with a torque value of 188 in./lbs. and a hex/wrench size of 5/16". UL Listed 486B, this connector is part of the Polaris series, known for its precision-molded design and compatibility with parallel configurations. Available in multiple port counts (3 to 12 ports), the IPLD2-5 delivers a time-saving, all-in-one solution for splicing applications where reliability and durability are critical.
