The IPCS2001 features an exclusive "turbo spacer" that keeps the tap side open during the tightening of the main conductor, simplifying the process and eliminating the need for a third hand. This design also prevents contamination between the main and tap conductors. The connector is watertight and corrosion-free, with a connection sealed by a rubber grommet to prevent water migration. It is suitable for both solid and stranded wires and can be used as a splice or a tap. The double shear-head bolts guarantee a perfect connection every time, eliminating hot spots. Specifications include a UL486B Listing, ANSI C119.4 compliance, a temperature rating of 90°C, and a voltage rating of 600V. The conductor range for the main is 2/0 - 4 AWG, and for the tap is 10 - 14 AWG. Dimensions are 1.800" in height, 2.200" in width, and 3.000" in length, with 1 bolt. The standard pack quantity is 16 units. This connector is not recommended for use with extra-flexible cables and is not approved for submersible applications. For applications requiring bare wire use, specific sizes with a blue insert are available (from 4/0 to #10 AWG), but the IPCS2001 itself is not approved for bare wire use.
