This guide provides step-by-step instructions for safely installing the STLC240S025 Surge Protective Device in a residential load center.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors
- Disconnect power
Ensure all power circuits are de-energized by disconnecting power to the load center before starting the installation.
- Remove front cover
Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the front cover of the load center and carefully take off the cover.
- Install the Surge Protective Device
Remove any blank spaces in the front panel and install the STLC240S025 in the selected location, ensuring it is properly seated with good contact to the bus bar.
- Connect the white wire
Route the white wire from the STLC240S025 to the neutral bar, keeping the wire as short and straight as possible. Strip 1/2 inch of insulation and secure it to the neutral bar.
- Reinstall the front cover
Reinstall the front cover of the load center using the screws that were removed earlier.
- Reapply power
Restore power to the load center and verify that the green LED on the STLC240S025 is illuminated, indicating proper operation.
