Overview

The Macromatic VAE120A is a voltage monitor relay designed to protect equipment from overvoltage and undervoltage conditions. Manufactured by Macromatic, a trusted name in industrial control relays, this plug-in device monitors single-phase AC voltage from 12 to 120V. It features adjustable pick-up and drop-out settings (85-115% and 80-95% of nominal voltage, respectively), with response times from 0.1 to 10 seconds. The relay offers SPDT contacts rated 10A @ 240V AC/30V DC and 1/2HP @ 240V AC, ensuring reliable switching for critical loads. Housed in a compact design, it operates across a temperature range of -28°C to 65°C (-20°F to 150°F) and consumes less than 3VA. Ideal for protecting sensitive equipment in industrial and commercial applications where voltage stability is critical.
  • Monitors 12-120V AC single-phase voltage
  • Adjustable overvoltage (120-150V) and undervoltage (90-120V) ranges
  • SPDT contacts rated 10A @ 240V AC/30V DC, 1/2HP @ 240V AC
  • Response times: 0.1-10 sec adjustable, 2 sec fixed power-up delay

CM-MPS.21S THREE-PHASE MON.

CM-MPS.21S THREE-PHASE MON.
The PLM Series is a 3-phase voltage monitor that continuously monitors each of the three phases. Monitors both delta and wye systems and no connection to neutral is required. The microcontroller circuit design protects against undervoltage, voltage unbalance, phase loss and phase reversal. Protection is assured when regenerated voltages are present. Operation: The output relay is energized and the LED glows green when all voltages are acceptable and the phase sequence is correct. Under and unbalanced voltages must be sensed for a continuous trip delay period before the relay de-energizes. Reset is automatic upon correction of the fault condition. The output relay will not energize if a fault condition is sensed as power is applied. The LED flashes red during the trip delay, then glows red when the output de-energizes. The LED flashes green/red if phase reversal is sensed. Field Adjustment: Set voltage adjustment knob at the desired operating line voltage for the equipment. This adjustment automatically sets the undervoltage trip point. Apply power. If the PLM fails to energize, (LED glows red) check wiring of all 3 phases, voltage, and phase sequence. If phase sequence is incorrect, the LED flashes green/red. To correct this, swap any two line voltage connections at the mounting socket. No further adjustment should be required.
