Overview

The Macromatic COKP01A62 is a plug-in AC overcurrent monitoring relay, SKU COKP01A62. It monitors AC over-current within a 0.1A to 1A range, with a 120V AC input voltage. The pick-up current is adjustable within this range, and the drop-out setting is adjustable from 50% to 95% of the pick-up setting. A time delay, adjustable from 0.1 to 10 seconds, prevents nuisance tripping from inrush currents. The relay energizes when monitored AC current exceeds the pick-up setting for the set time delay and de-energizes when current drops below the drop-out setting. It requires an 8-pin octal socket for mounting. Output contacts are rated for 10A at 240V AC or 30V DC. EQUIP.

How to Install the COKP01A62 Current Sensing Relay

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the COKP01A62 Current Sensing Relay in a suitable enclosure.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, 8 pin octal socket (Macromatic 70169-D or Custom Connector OT08-PC), Terminal connectors

  1. Mount the octal socket

Install the 8 pin octal socket in a suitable enclosure. Ensure it is securely fastened and positioned for easy access.

  2. Connect the wiring

Using #12-22 solid or stranded copper conductors, connect the wiring to the octal socket. Match the terminal numbers on the socket to the wiring diagram provided on the relay.

  3. Verify connections

Before powering on, double-check all connections to ensure they match the wiring diagram. Use a multimeter to verify continuity and proper connections.

  4. Power on and configure

Once all connections are verified, restore power to the relay. Adjust the pick-up current setting as needed within the specified range.

  5. Calibrate the relay

Set the drop-out setting between 50-95% of the selected pick-up setting. Test the relay operation to ensure it energizes and de-energizes correctly based on the monitored AC current.
