Littelfuse KSD11120S - The KSD1 Series features two-terminal, series-connection with the load. The KSD1 Series is an ideal choice for delay-onmake timing applications. This series is designed for general purpose commercial and industrial applications where a small, cost effective, reliable solid-state timer is required. The factory calibration for fixed time delays is within 5% of the target time delay. The repeat accuracy, under stable conditions, is 0.5% of the selected time delay. This series is designed for popular AC and DC voltages. Time delays of 0.1 seconds to 1000 minutes are available in 6 ranges. The output is rated 1A steady and 10Ainrush. The modules are totally solid state and encapsulated to protect the electronic circuitry. Operation (Delay-on-Make): Upon application of input voltage, the time delay begins. The output is de-energized before and during the time delay. At the end of the time delay, the output energizes and remains energized until input voltage is removed. Reset: Removing input voltage resets the time delay and output.

Overview

The Littelfuse KSD11120S, part of the KSD1 Series, is a highly reliable, two-terminal, delay-on-make solid-state timer designed for general-purpose commercial and industrial applications. This compact and cost-effective module offers precise timing control, making it an ideal solution where a small, dependable timer is required. The KSD11120S features factory calibration for fixed time delays within 5% of the target, ensuring accuracy from the outset. Under stable conditions, its repeat accuracy is an impressive 0.5% of the selected time delay, guaranteeing consistent performance over millions of operations. This versatile timer supports a wide range of time delays, from 0.1 seconds up to 1000 minutes, available in six distinct ranges. It is engineered for compatibility with popular AC and DC input voltages, providing flexibility for diverse power systems. The output stage is rated for 1A steady-state current and a robust 10A inrush current, capable of handling demanding loads. The KSD11120S operates on a delay-on-make principle: upon application of input voltage, the time delay sequence begins. The output remains de-energized during this delay period. Once the preset time has elapsed, the output energizes and stays active until the input voltage is removed, at which point the timer resets. Constructed with a totally solid-state design and encapsulated to protect the electronic circuitry from shock, vibration, and humidity, the KSD11120S offers enhanced durability and longevity. This eliminates concerns about arcing or wear associated with mechanical components. Optional accessories like the Versa-Pot (P1004-95) for remote adjustment, mounting brackets (P1023-6), and quick-connect terminals (P1015-64) are available to facilitate installation and customization.
