Overview

The Littelfuse BB17 (SKU: BB17) is a UL 508 Listed bus bar system engineered for safe and efficient power distribution in industrial control panels. This innovative solution significantly reduces wiring terminations and eliminates the need for separate power distribution blocks, streamlining panel design and assembly. Its compact, touch-safe design mounts directly onto a 35mm DIN rail, saving valuable panel space. The BB17 supports both one- and three-phase applications, offering flexibility with multiple pole configurations (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, or 15 poles) and customizable amperage ratings. It features a copper conductor with a 17.8mm pitch. Voltage ratings include 600V AC/DC and 1000V DC (for single-phase applications). Current ratings vary by cross-section and feed type: for 18mm², it's 160A center-fed and 80A end-fed; for 25mm², it's 200A center-fed and 100A end-fed. The system boasts Short Circuit Current Ratings (SCCR) of 10kA or 100kA when protected by Class J fuses. Designed for enhanced safety, the touch-safe nature protects users during fuse replacement. Assembly time is reduced, and troubleshooting is improved due to the simplified wiring. The bus bar is cuttable by the customer for precise sizing, and individual power feed lugs are available for termination at any point. The BB17 is RoHS compliant and lead-free. It is compatible with Littelfuse LFPSM, LFPSC, LPSM, LPSC (600V), and LPHV (1000V) fuse holders. Ideal applications include UL 508 panels, solar string combiner boxes, control panels, and general power distribution systems. Endcaps are included with 3-phase configurations (except 57-pole) and for 1-phase configurations if the bus bar is not trimmed.
