Littelfuse 460-15 - The 460 is a 3-phase voltage monitor that protects 190-480VAC or 475-600V, 50/60Hz motors regardless of size. The product provides a user selectable nominal voltage setpoint and the voltage monitor automatically senses line voltage. This unique microcontroller-based voltage and phase-sensing device constantly monitors the 3-phase voltages to detect harmful power line conditions such as low, high, and unbalanced voltage, loss of any phase, and phase reversal. When a harmful condition is detected, the 460 output relay is deactivated after a specified trip delay. The output relay reactivates after power line conditions return to an acceptable level for a specified amount of time (restart delay). The trip and restart delays prevent nuisance tripping due to rapidly fluctuating power line conditions. All 460 models feature adjustable 1-30 second trip delay, 1-500 second restart delay, 2-8% voltage unbalance trip point, and one form C contact except where noted.

Overview

The Littelfuse 460-15 is a 3-phase voltage monitor designed to protect motors operating within a 190-480VAC or 475-600V range, at 50/60Hz. This microcontroller-based device automatically senses line voltage, simplifying setup. It continuously monitors three-phase voltages for harmful conditions including low voltage, high voltage, voltage unbalance, loss of any phase, and phase reversal. Upon detection of a fault, the output relay deactivates after a user-adjustable trip delay (1-30 seconds). The relay reactivates once power line conditions stabilize for a specified restart delay (1-500 seconds), preventing nuisance tripping. The voltage unbalance trip point is adjustable from 2-8%. The 460-15 features two Form A (Normally Open) contacts, suitable for controlling separate circuits simultaneously, such as a compressor and a fan. Advanced LED diagnostics provide quick visual indication of trip causes and relay status. The unit has an operating ambient temperature range of -20° to 70°C (-4° to 158°F) and a storage range of -40° to 80°C (-40° to 176°F). It has a maximum input power of 6W and a class of protection of IP20, NEMA 1 (finger safe). Terminal torque is rated at 4.5 in.-lbs. This voltage monitor is ideal for protecting compressors and blower motors in industrial applications.
  • Protects 3-phase motors operating at 190-480VAC or 475-600V, 50/60Hz.
  • Automatically senses line voltage for simplified setup.
  • Monitors for low/high voltage, phase loss, phase reversal, and voltage unbalance (2-8% adjustable).
  • Adjustable trip delay (1-30 sec) and restart delay (1-500 sec) prevent nuisance tripping.
  • Equipped with 2 Form A (Normally Open) contacts for independent control.
