FSO-12-KIT
The FSO 12 safety functions module supports the following functions according to EN/IEC 61800-5-2:2007: Safe Torque Off (STO) (standard feature of the drive), Safe Brake Control (SBC), Safe Stop 1 (SS1), and, Safely-Limited Speed (SLS). Additional safety functions supported but not specified in EN/IEC 61800-5-2:2007: Safe Stop Emergency (SSE), Safe Maximum Speed (SMS), and, Prevention of Unexpected Start-up (POUS). The FSO 12 does not operate the drive, it only monitors the actions of the drive and commands safety functions to be executed. The request for safety functions can come from an external safety system, safety PLC or from an FSO 12 internal fault. The FSO module monitors that the drive operates within the configured limits, and if the limits are exceeded, activates the STO function in the drive within the response time. Activation of the drive STO function removes the torque and, if so configured, applies the brake. Commissioning and configuration of the safety functions requires Drive composer pro (DCPT-01-KIT). NOTE: The Safe Torque Off (STO) function does not disconnect the voltage of the main and auxiliary circuits from the drive. NOTE: This module does not support an encoder in safety applications.

The data cable splitter with terminal block is a 3-way 'Y' cable splitter with one terminal block suitable for an RS-485 network of drives. Two of the three connections are compatible with standard CAT 5 or CAT 6 type cable and the third is a terminal block that can be used to connect a PLC or network terminating resistor.
