How to Install the ASUP-024 Controller

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the installation and initial setup of the ASUP-024 controller, ensuring proper mounting, wiring, and configuration.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Conduit plugs

  1. Mount the controller

Remove the cover by unscrewing the two screws. Position the rear of the housing against the mounting surface and secure it using #10 x 1" wood screws for wooden surfaces or #10 screws with lockwashers and nuts for metal surfaces.

  2. Make electrical connections

Use 12 to 18 AWG wire to connect the power source. Strip no more than 0.25 inch of insulation from the wire ends. Connect the positive lead to one of the (+) terminals and the negative lead to one of the (–) terminals on the connector plug, then plug it into the circuit board.

  3. Install the tone card

Plug the desired tone card into the designated socket on the printed circuit board. Ensure the neoprene rubber cover gasket is properly seated and reinstall the housing cover.

  4. Adjust volume settings

After installation, remove the housing cover and use a slotted screwdriver to adjust the internal volume control to the desired loudness. Reinstall the housing cover securely.

  5. Test the system

Conduct a system test to verify that the ASUP-024 controller operates correctly. Ensure that all connections are secure and that the device is functioning as intended.
